About the Event

The course will be taught by Joshua Sparkes who has travelled widely in the Far East and the USA studying regenerative farming techniques. He is a UK leader in Korean Natural Farming, Bokashi and other techniques, a Triad and Winston Churchill fellow, as well being a trained horticulturalist. He is now leading an innovative Market Garden programme using these techniques in Woolsery, Devon.   

The course will cover techniques from Korea and elsewhere which focus on cultivating microorganisms for soil, plant and human health.  

1st day 

1. Lecture on natural farming principles from Korea and elsewhere 

2. Making core solutions and the use - get people involved in the making of some of the easier solutions and Josh making all the others, along with bringing some pre made ones 

3. Heavy focus on the use and making of IMO (indigenous micro organism culture). - get people involved with the making of IMO 3  - 

Day 2 

1. Monitor IMO 3 from day 1 

2 Focus on the use of JADAM ( indigenous micro organism solutions without sugar) 

3. BIO char making 

4. Bokashi - composting and use in soil .

5 Compost tea 

6. Cover crops
