Jim Bowen

Jim Bowen's family have farmed in north Pembrokeshire for over 100 years. He set up Clynfyw Countryside Centre in 1998 and Clynfyw Care Farm in 2011 winning Queens Award for Enterprise (sustainable development) in 2002 and 2020. He is a mentor for Renew Cymru, Social Farms and Gardens and Farming Connect. He writes books, including 'Care Farming for Beginners' (2019). He is committed to grass roots community development, with particular concern about changing climate and the impact this has on us all. "Community resilience, networking and connection is vital to combat the climate crisis," he says.

Sharon Carter

Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in educational communications and outreach from her 37 years teaching, mentoring, and delivering training programs.

She is involved in academic research into the links between belonging, identity and landscape, and committed to connecting people with their local environment. Sharon is also the Chair of Croeso Teifi,  a charity committed to welcoming and resettling Syrian families to the are through the Home Office scheme of community sponsorship.

Zoe Hope

Zoe has moved to West Wales after retiring from  a life-long career in London’s Civil Service. She is passionate about climate and biodiversity issues and her skills and experience will be invaluable in helping to build community resilience and local connections. She is the Treasurer of Ffynone Resiliance which incorporates Feild of Beans and Cilgerran Fruit & Nut Club.

Dr. Roger Burns

Roger is a retired GP, with great interest in the Health Services and medicine, particularly mental health. He is an active member of the community and invites discussion and debate regarding community futures and health services


 

Roger was drawn to working with Grwp because of his shared values and is an enthusiast for anything that helps strengthen our local environment and for Mental Health and Wellbeing.
