Narberth Allotments and Community Orchard - Welsh Government grant update

As 2022 slowly edges it’s way towards spring, Narberth Allotments and Orchards have been busy preparing for finer weather.

Lee Dibden did a fantastic job of clearing the Orchard in the autumn, strimming back the entrances and creating paths through the tree’s, making the tree’s and flat spaces accessible again.

Jen Keyte aka The Landsker Gardener has begun the work of landscaping the communal area at the allotments.

‘The Chattery’ Now levelled and cleared ready for the next stage of developments. Which will make the area accessible for all users of the allotments, with sleepers and hardstanding and a step cut into the slope by the gate.

Allotmenteers have received fence posts, rabbit wire and individual ponds to update their allotments and to encourage biodiversity wildlife.

As the days grow longer and warmer there will be exciting new developments here at Narberth, with a focus on biodiversity. If you would like to stay up to date with the improvements and community events here at Narberth, or on our other projects, please subscribe to our newsletter.
